Who Benefits from Aim High

The Aim High Sporting Clay Shoot was established 9 years ago to assist JA in raising additional revenue for JA programs.  Today, the goal is to raise over $160,000 and to reach over 10,000 students in Corpus Christi and Coastal Bend area.

"By instilling in our youth a sense of hope and motivating them through empowering financial education like JA programs and encouraging them to pursue college or vocational programs is one way to strengthen their opportunities for success as adults."

Co-Chair of Aim High

Inspiring the Future Workforce

JA’s focus is on increasing participation in schools and especially high populations of economically disadvantaged students. Reaching out to schools with this specific target population helps students gain a new vision of how they can improve their lives with a sound financial future and solid career path.

"As a JA volunteer and business professional, I believe by planting this seed as early as Kindergarten and continuing through 12th grade that JA can help prevent students from dropping out of high school.  To be truly prepared for the challenges of our national and global economies, students need practical life skills, job readiness skills, financial literacy and positive role models who can help them understand what it takes to achieve their dreams or even begin to dream in the first place."
